Having been raised amongst the Beoulves from birth will grant you High Etiquette, which gives you bonuses whenever you're trying to deal with the nobility basically, you have extensive training in the behavior of the noble class, and highborn men and women will react well to it. How you spent your early childhood will generate one of two unique skills. It's small enough to not make investing your non-bonus skills worth it, but still decent enough for it to be a fairly nice bonus (I'm thinking something in the 10% area.)
Hymn of Ragnarok got this one right what Marianne was in life will give a small growth rate bonus to anything either in the squire or chemist paths (basically, melee or magic). Okay, let's try to clarify a few things to minimize confusion.
